A vest is an additional layer of neoprene covering the torso protecting the body's core thermal area. Available in a 0.5MM through 5MM thick neoprene that has no sleeves. These can be worn with a hood or without and is effective at sealing off the head, which can be responsible for much heat loss. And available in a pull-over style or front zipper style.

The vest is a perfect thermal addition for those times when extra thermal layering is the plan for the dive day.
