Divers are responsible for their own transportation to and from the Crater, as well as lodging, food, and any other necessities. That said, the Homestead Resort does offer our students a group rate. All you need to do is tell them you’re with Flatirons Scuba & Travel and ask about the rate. We also recommend reserving your rooms as soon as possible, as the resort does book up quickly in the winter. If you’re unable to reserve a room with the Homestead Resort, we recommend the Zermatt hotel nearby.

*Divers Alert Network (DAN) recommends a surface interval of 18 hours after multiple dives. If you want to fly into Salt Lake City, please plan to stay in Utah for an additional day after you complete dives 3 & 4. For more information, please visit diversalertnetwork.org

If you fly, you will be responsible for paying a fee to rent tanks and weights at the crater. If you do not have enough room in your bags for any remaining rental gear (BCD, regulator, mask, fins, snorkel), you will have to rent those at the crater as well.
