PADI Instructor Certification (OWSI)

Congratulations on deciding to become a PADI Scuba Instructor or Assistant Instructor! Successful completion of this program allows you to share your passion for scuba diving with others and introduce them to the beautiful underwater world!

The Instructor Development Course (IDC) followed by the successful completion of a PADI Instructor Examination (IE) is your first step to being awarded the prestigious rating of Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI). Candidates for this rating receive training in PADI standards, procedures, philosophies and teaching methods. They are evaluated in the areas of practical teaching ability, watermanship, diving knowledge, attitude and professionalism. As a PADI Assistant Instructor, you have gained the basic knowledge of the PADI teaching philosophy.
