Divemaster Certification
The divemaster level prepares you for techniques for the instructor level. This
will allow you to assist and help out with classes. By finishing your
divemaster you will be a professional diver, and also greatly enhance your own
skills.
There are four sections of the divemaster course:

You will participate in classroom and pool training as an intern.

Your individual skills will be evaluated on watermanship, rescue, and diving
skills.

You will attend several classroom sessions to increase your knowledge in all
areas of scuba, and effectively coordinate class, pool, and open water
sessions.

You will also perform an individual skill circuit.
The divemaster course is self-paced and your instructor will meet with you to
guide you through the process. The dates below are status checks and extra help
sessions. You will also be ready to enter the PADI Instructor Development
Course (IDC).
The prerequisite for the divemaster program is to be certified as a PADI Rescue
Diver or equivalent. You are also required to have the following items in
addition to your basic diving equipment:

Compass & Timing device

Underwater timing device
-
Exposure protection
-
Whistle or other signaling device
-
Knife or Diver's tool
-
Logbook-Professional version recommended
Included: tanks, weights, classroom, pool, & OW training.
There are several items listed below that are recommended but are not required.

PADI Instructor Manual and cue cards
-
Current editions of Open Water, Advanced, and Rescue Manuals.

Diving Knowledge Workbook and Encyclopedia of Recreation Diving
